BC Racing General Info:
BC Racing is the own brand range of coilover kits from a large manufacturer of suspension products.
The mainstay of the manufacturer is producing units for a wide range of companies including a number of premium brands within the coilover market, brands we cannot mention here for legal reasons but it many of the most wellknown Japanese and American brands. The release of the BC Racing own brand gives end users the benefit of the knowledge, manufacturing processes and economies of scale of a large suspension manufacturer but at the prices which are more associated with the lower quality units cluttering the market at the moment.
Damper testing and matching
Damping adjustment allows you to fine tune your car to suit your needs and the cars intended use. Adjustment should always be made in axle pairs, so both fronts must be tuned the same and both rears must be tuned the same.
Decreasing front damping will speed up the weight transfer as you apply the cars brakes thus increasing front traction. You want some degree of weight transfer to occur to load up the front tires to maximize braking ability and to help the front end hook up for corner entry. The front loading helps prevent under steer.
Such subtle tweaking of the damping rates can make a big difference to the way the car handles. Coilover and after market damper manufacturers run quality control system that can lead to a large variation in damper to damper performance. This means that you can have different damping rates at each corner of your car even when the dampers are dialled in to the same setting via their adjuster. Because damping settings are so crucial to a vehicles handling, this can lead to a handling imbalance where the car will pull slightly under braking and its turn in and mid corner handling characteristics can differ from left to right hand corners.
It’s because the damping rates are so crucial that BC Racing check each and every damper they produce on an in house damper dyno. The compression and rebound damping rates are recorded and the coilover kits are only put together using matched dampers. Through this in house individual checking BC Racing can be confident that the kits are produced with matching dampers. BC Racing run to a tolerance level 3 times more accurate than general original equipment manufacturers so the difference in damping rate between BC Racing units is a third of that aimed for by most original equipment manufacturers.
Straight replacement for original equipment
The BC Racing coilovers are a direct replacement for the original equipment. Unlike other brands of coilovers, the BC Racing range do not require brackets fabricating, cable ties or jubilee clips to install. The bottom mounts come with all brackets to take the original ABS sensor leads, brake lines, anti roll bar drop links etc. Just take off your original equipment suspension and install the BC Racing suspension. A straightforward and simple install.

How to choose a BOV
With the vast range of GFB blow-off valves, questions rise 'Which blow-off valve is the best?' and 'Which blow-off valve should I use?'
The first question is easy to answer: There isn't actually a 'best' in terms of quality. All GFB blow-off valves use the same high-quality internal components. So, provided the right BOV is fitted for your particular vehicle, they all offer the same performance benefits of improved throttle response and reduced lag. The real question is: How do you select the valve for you?
The first step to decide on 'your' BOV, is whether or not you want to hear it, and if so, how much? The following chart lists the “noise ratings” of our blow-off valve range. The final decision will then be based on how much control you want over the blow-off volume level.
Boost Controllers
GFB boost controllers use a more consistent needle-valve bleed system, which brings boost on just as fast as any ball-and-spring system, and generally more quickly than a factory boost control system. On the productpages you can find a comparison of the GFB controller to other major brands, guess who wins this standoff? GFB!
A GFB boost controller will give you the added benefit of not only being able to adjust the peak boost level, but in most cases will bring the boost on earlier, resulting in more power throughout the rev range.
Pulley Kits
The reduction in rotating inertia (we've removed about 2kg by using 6061 T6 aluminum billet) means that the engine can accelerate much quicker during the times it is making very little power before the turbo spools up. The result is better drive ability off-boost and better acceleration, which is especially useful for those with large turbos that only make power in the upper rev range. The smaller size of the crank pulley under-drives the power robbing accessories so that the upper end of the rev range is less burdened, while still allowing them to operate properly.
Short Shift Kits
The GFB Short Shifter is the same height as the factory shifter, it is the actual distance that the gear stick moves between gears that reduced.
Very simple to install. All of the installation is done from inside the car, without having to jack it up and crawl around underneath. Only a few basic hand tools are required, and the necessary hex keys are supplied.
The maximum throw reduction varies for different models. Early WRXs had a particularly long throw, so the maximum reduction with the GFB kit is around 50%, whilst on later models it is closer to 40%. In either case, it is possible to reduce the distance per gate to about 30mm. Whilst it can go shorter, the shifting force becomes too great for comfort, and some of the shift feel is lost.

General info The Muc-Off story starts in 1991 when Rex & Marilyn Trimnell founded X-Lite UK. Rex had a huge passion for engineering, innovation and anything to do with speed! The first bicycle product Rex designed and patented was the world’s first ‘Twin Crown’ bicycle fork, which was highly advanced for its time. Rex soon went on to design and manufacture the world’s lightest bar ends which we still make today!
In 1994 Rex saw a gap in the market for premium bicycle specific care products. This led him to set about creating X-Lite’s own cleaning product which was both safe to use on all parts of a bike and the environment, Rex put on his brand name thinking cap and Muc-Off was born! After several years, more and more riders were seeing the benefits of using Muc-Off and it started to become a big success.
